Advantage: Frances Tiafoe! Defending Champion Looks To Keep It Going.
What a difference a year makes. Defending champion Frances Tiafoe returns to Delray Beach as the No. 2 ranked American tennis player, who has skyrocketed to a career-high ranking of No. 29 in the world. Tiafoe is looking to build on the momentum spurred by his spirited run into his first Grand Slam quarterfinal appearance earlier this year at the Australian Open, where he defeated two Top 20 players including the No.5 seed, Kevin Anderson.
Along with Argentina’s Juan Martin del Potro and fellow American John Isner, Tiafoe headlines a star-studded roster playing in the Delray Beach Open this week at Delray Beach Tennis Center, with round-of-32 play which began on Monday.
